20 MWp ground-mounted system in Aldenhoven
For the Davids group of companies, we delivered a ground-mounted photovoltaic system with 20 MWp of capacity across 122,000 m² in Aldenhoven. It is the third-largest system in North Rhine-Westphalia.
Challenge
A ground-mounted system of this size requires a precise interplay of surveying, foundations, system planning and grid connection – and all within a short construction period. To protect the surface sealing, a special foundation for the mounting structure was also required.
Solution
After soil analyses and tests for the mounting structure, we planned the modules in an efficient east-west orientation, built seven transformer stations and connected the system to the power grid both technically and organisationally. Concrete point foundations were used for the foundation work. In just four months of construction, a particularly efficient system was created.
