Commercial solar system: cost savings and customer comfort in Villafranca
For a food retail store, we installed a rooftop PV system and PV carports across the car parks. Thanks to our office in Rome, we were able to deliver the project in Italy quickly and on time. This makes full use of the site's potential, generating an estimated 575,000 kWh of sustainable energy per year and improving cost efficiency. At the same time, the carports increase comfort for visitors.
Challenge
With our expertise in retail chains, we deliver up to 600 commercial solar systems worldwide every year. In 2024, we completed one of them in Villafranca, Italy – in just 59 working days. As so often, we went far beyond the rooftop system alone: with end-to-end management covering every aspect of project development while keeping costs firmly in view.
Solution
In Villafranca, we equipped the roof of the discount store with an innovative PV system that requires no additional ballast. We also installed PV carports in the car park. In total, 1,680 modules were mounted across an area of 2,672 m². Our team on site in Italy ensured that the project ran smoothly and on schedule.
