A solar plant rarely loses output all at once. More often it is a single string, a silent inverter or a slowly developing insulation fault. Over months this adds up to noticeable losses in yield. Centroplan therefore combines continuous monitoring with scheduled maintenance and fast fault clearance.
Centroplan looks after solar plants with a combined capacity of around 500 MWp, from rooftop systems on company buildings to ground-mounted solar parks.
Around 2,700 plants are under continuous monitoring. This volume of operating data is what makes it possible to detect fault patterns reliably and classify them correctly.
In Germany, monitoring and maintenance come from a single source. Across the rest of Europe monitoring runs centrally, while maintenance is usually organised through local partners.
Plant data feeds into the VCOM monitoring platform, where it is analysed by our own software en:light. Deviations become visible the moment they occur.
Every alarm is assessed by urgency and potential yield loss. You do not receive a flood of notifications, only the cases that genuinely require a response.
Once a year our technicians inspect the entire plant, from the modules through the cabling to the distribution boards. The interval can be adapted to your requirements or to local regulations.
Identified defects are documented, prioritised and rectified. Safety-related findings always take precedence.
Every maintenance visit is recorded digitally on site and transmitted in real time to Centroplan's specialist departments. This creates a digital twin of each plant and guarantees seamless documentation of its condition over the years.
We also take on plants that were not built by Centroplan. This follows a review of the documentation and an initial inspection.

en:light is our in-house monitoring software. It analyses the operating data from VCOM and detects fault patterns automatically instead of merely reporting threshold breaches. Each plant receives a Health Index. By Health Index we mean a single figure that combines the technical criticality of a fault with the expected loss in yield. This gives you an immediate picture of how a plant is doing, without your team being swamped by individual alerts.

During preventive maintenance the team works through the plant systematically: modules for damage and correct mounting, the module field for corrosion, earthing and shading, the cabling for strain relief, clean separation of DC and AC as well as fire protection, and inverters and distribution boards for connection, labelling and protective measures. Every finding is photographed and included in the report.
Handover of the as-built documentation for the entire plant, including revision documents and drawings.
Migration into Centroplan operations management: connection to VCOM monitoring, where necessary via an FTP push from a third-party portal.
Full maintenance check, quality control and AC and DC measurements, supplemented by thermography on request.
The check produces a defect report, which is maintained and tracked in the maintenance management system.
Safety-related defects are rectified as part of a revamping before the plant enters regular operation.
Comparison with the previous year's yields, conclusion of a framework or individual contract, and inclusion of the plant in the Centroplan portfolio.
