Self-consumption

Self-generated solar power can be shifted in time and used when it is actually needed on site. Surplus from the photovoltaic system is stored and made available later. The result: self-consumption rises, grid draw falls.

Daily load chart: solar generation peaks at midday, the surplus is stored in the battery system and used on site later in the evening.

Peak shaving

Short, high load peaks determine the demand charge and drive grid fees. The industrial battery storage system covers these peaks from stored energy and reduces the billed peak load.

Atypical grid use

During the grid operator's peak load windows, drawing power from the grid is particularly expensive. The industrial battery storage system shifts consumption out of these windows, enabling reduced grid fees under section 19 StromNEV.
