Roof refurbishment first, then solar: rooftop PV system for Caritas in Eschweiler
For Caritas Betriebs- und Werkstätten GmbH, we realised a 764.4 kWp rooftop PV system in Eschweiler. 1,680 modules were installed on three different roof structures, covering an area of 4,911 m². The system has been in operation since 2026.
Challenge
Before installation could begin, several membrane roofs first had to be refurbished. In addition, the project was spread across many different, physically separate roof areas. This required careful planning and close coordination throughout the entire construction period.
Solution
Thanks to precise planning, the various roof areas were combined into one high-performance system. Mounting systems from K2 and PMT (Ceniq 2) were used. Despite the demanding conditions, the result is a system that makes optimal use of the available roof space.
